Colombia is the number one country with the largest bird species in the world, allowing you to enjoy more than 1932 species of birds, of which 84 are endemic and 193 are almost endemic. The country is situated in Northwest of South America and has a variety of thermal floors that range from 200 m.a.s.l. to 5,300 m.a.s.l, passing through dry tropical forest to paramo, this is Colombia's most distinctive plant formation, Páramo is a moderately dry to very wet tropical high-elevation grassland (rainfall c. 1000-2000 mm) that is dominant at the limit of tree growth and continues upward to the limit of plant growth.

This route allows you to observe, photograph and appreciate a combination of wonderful landscapes, sounds of birds and wildlife, you will find a variety of climates; as well as endemic birds of the different states you visit.

This tour includes the magical and romantic Amazon of Colombia, the central western and eastern mountain ranges, a region which showcases birding of the great Magdalena valley, you will find landscapes of green mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and cloud forest. There you will also find the dry forest which occurs across northern Colombia, north of the Andes, locally on the floor of the Cauca and Magdalena Valleys, and east of the Andes, that forest is the most vulnerable and threatened in our Colombian territory, currently only 8% is conserved in the country.

We are committed to the peace process in our country, that is why we support small businesses that have been created by former members of the FARC, with products such as coffee, beer or jams for our customers.

Note: Please note that your immigration procedures at the airport may take between 30 minutes to an hour, if you want to exchange dollars, this must be done at the airport on arrival. ATM’s are perhaps the easiest place to get Colombian pesos but certain ATM’s throughout the country, but best change most of what you’ll need at the airport.
